Working with Mixlr we are able to offer Mobile apps from Apple, to Android, and it is amazing how we can also be able to post comments, info, stats and more as the game move forward. With broadcasting play by play, many of our fans are very excited about the new radio app.
But we are more willing to support our Central Basketball Association Team River City Panthers.
Our home team is truly working hard to put all this together, but once again, it is very hard to get things going without main stream sponsor. We truly honor our local sponsors example: Eat 2 Order, Ms. Jodie Brown "State Firm Insurance" and TVO1IRadio.
But we need more help. We are asking for more fans to attend the games, it is really getting the players down when they look into the stands and see the lack of support from their home town. I have spoke to many of the fans that do attend, and they do love the games, even though they wish their team would win more.
I truly believe with the support of fans, friends and family it will encourage our boys to look forward toward the future for River City Panthers. When ask Owner Bishop T. Smith, what is important to him about the team, he spoke with such love, faith, and strength, it made me feel deeply honor to be airing the Hoop City Sports Radio show.
Quote from Bishop: "I know it hard for our fans, friends and family to come out to the games and support us because they feel we are a team that need more work. We understand that part, but one must realize that this is a new team that is growing stronger together each day of the week, and to see those boys faces when they look into the stands and not see the support for them even being in Peoria IL, it hurts me more then I realize it hurt them. But after hearing them say, its ok Bishop, we are happy to have a few believe in us, that hurt as well.
This team are their dream, their future for many of them, and more important it is their love. A few of the players, have not had the chance to play oversea, or play in Semi Pro league, and given their opportunity is one they take in honor and respect.
There is more I wish I could do for these young men, and everyday of the week I work hard to reach out to higher level leagues like D-League, Oversea League etc. It hard, and I truly believe players like B. Lee #41, Josh Wagner #05, Rockie Robinson #34 and even James Johnson #02, D. Flournoy #11 Aj Glassburn #15 or Mr. Salley #0 as well as a few others will sooner or later have the opportunity to play oversea or D-league foundation.
But once again, we need the support for these guys that are doing their best every game and at every practice."
I truly believe in the River City Panthers, and I hope to see them again and again each season. With that being said, their next home game will be against Memphis Soul King April 26, 2014 and again on May 3, against Ft. Wayne.
